Originality

What i am gonna write isn't exactly about the topic mentioned, though it may remain elusive to you y i named it i think you will

understand why i decided to label it the way i finally did.OK no more mokai here goes...

The topic am gonna write about:PLAGIARISM.

Many might argue that the term refers to only Harris jayaraj an Deva…maybe yes but there are so many other things being copied … The Ipl and the champions leaguet20 for instance???I will get back to cricket but first things first..

Lets define a few terms related to the two maestro’s i mentioned..here goes

Plagiarism:Copying from a single song or album.

Inspiration:Gettin inspired from two to three songs and composing the hybrid.

Research: Composing a song by getting “inspired” form abt 10-15 tunes (mostly from backstreet boys)

Well, both hj an deva dont need any introduction…

While the former is highly talented in research deva isnt that bright..so lets leave the latter and concentrate on the former..

The one mistake that led to the recognition of his “research” was the June pona number from unnale unnale..It was the “remix” i prefer to call it of the well known “all rise” song of the 'blue' band…Thats when things started to fall apart for our upcoming music director.. People began to research his “researches” and now if u visit itwofs.com or search youtube with the terms “copycat harris jayaraj” ,i daresay you will have to spend atleast 2 hrs to browse through all the result pages that the sites throw up at you… Now that’s research.(i wonder y there is no nobel for research in music.. am sure hj would have got it) .

Now my friend Arun(name not changed even on request) said this to me after i told him that all the songs he heard in varanam aayiram and ayan were “inspired” music…”I like harris jayaraj since he copies from only good songs”.Well though it may be the truth but doesnt that make one lose respect for the person.. I think everyone can be a music director if they know from which songs to copy.I know we all have better things to do then become one but hj (who didnt have anything else to do then play the keyboard for AR Rahman) decided to start on his own and is what he is today..

Just visit the site itwofs.com or type harris jayaraj plagiarism and click on the first link and you will know what i am taking about…

Y is plagiarism bad..?? well, it makes you lose interest in the person doing it and you stop listening to him..well thats wat i have done exactly.. no hj music in my laptop or i-pod(you dont believe i have one do you? i assure you i do).

I don want to elaborate on IPL and champions leaguet20.. Many i know r soccer fans and everybody would have guessed, nah, known that it is heavily borrowed from UEFA champions league and the domestic football..The only thing that hasnt been borrowed is the sport itself(coz in india ,football is not a rage as is cricket)

Originality like honesty always is tough to have(reminds u of svs doesn it??) , but it has its rewards.. this is going like an advice which i donn wanna give you, u guys would understood if u visit the site i mentioned …

I Dont want to keep writing coz i know you wouldnt keep reading.. I will not keep you from facebook or twitter any longer..’

Let me remind you there are many ways to express yourself … so no lol s or rofl s for this post..(personally kinda hate those 2 words).

Signing off,(am also eager to visit facebook ..lol! )

Bye
